A Full-Bridge DC-DC Converter with Zero-Voltage Switching: Experimental Studies
Abstract—This paper deals with the simulation and implementation of Full-Bridge DC-DC converter with Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS). The 48V DC is efficiently reduced to 12V DC using DC-DC converter. Switching losses are reduced by zero voltage switching. Switching stresses are reduced by using resonant inductor and capacitor. This converter has advantages like low switching loss, less EMI, and less switching stresses. DC-DC converter is modelled and simulated using simulink. The hardware is fabricated and tested. The simulation results are compared with the experimental results. The aim of this work is to develop an efficient DC-DC converter with high power density.
Index Terms—DC-DC power conversion, soft-switching, zerovoltage- switching (ZVS).
